capital preservation
We attempt to avoid excessive trading and are biased toward the long-term. We also understand that the preservation of capital is important to our clients. Monitoring market conditions, political developments, and economic trends are some of the tools used to diversify portfolios.
Investment Philosophy
Westhampton Capital uses a combination of Value and Growth at a Reasonable Price (GARP) analysis to guide its investment philosophy. The goal is to buy companies with good balance sheets, strong cash flows, above average dividends, and the financial strength to increase dividends over time.
Customized portfolios
Westhampton Capital diversifies portfolios across industry groups, but will not weigh accounts just to mimic the S&P 500. We build a customized portfolio for each individual designed to meet the client's unique goals for growth and income with a measured portfolio of stocks, bonds, and cash.
Tax efficiency
We primarily buy individual stocks and bonds for accounts as opposed to mutual funds and ETFs. This method of investing enables Westhampton Capital to better control when capital gains are recognized. Individual stocks and bonds save the client additional levels of fees that could possibly otherwise be paid through the purchase of mutual funds and ETFs.
account management
Each account is assigned a manager. A Portfolio Manager at Westhampton Capital will review each account at least once per month. Scheduled client visits are encouraged. Our clients always have unrestricted access to the Portfolio Management Team.
